Amar'e Stoudamire will reportedly spend $100K for two weeks with Hakeem "The Dream" Olajuwon in Houston next month, according to MSG Network's Knicks studio analyst Alan Hahn:

Stoudemire will spend two weeks with Hakeem Olajuwon in Houston next month. The cost of learning The Dream Shake? $50,000 a week is what we were told. Now, we don't know of Olajuwon is charging Stoudemire full price, but Amar'e plans to get bang for his buck. He said he plans to memorize every lesson so he can expand his game to include one or two go-to moves on the post. Stoudemire has been known as mostly a pick-and-roll player who developed a mid-range jumper in 2010-11. Mike Woodson wanted him to be more of a threat in the post, so he asked his former Rockets teammate to spend some time with Stoudemire. Tyson Chandler is also expected to spend some time with Olajuwon after the Olympics.

Stoudamire realized that to be successful with the Knicks, he can't just rely on his athleticism, and shooting jump shots. He probably figured it was time to get help from the most skilled center in the history. Stoudamire has the money to do it, so it's worth the shot. I'm sure "The Dream" takes into consideration that Stoudamire earns around $20 million a year, without any endorsement.

Hakeem can show Stoudamire a couple post moves, which he has lacked ever since he joined the league. Amar'e is getting a little old, and often looks tired out there. If he can save some energy by not constantly trying to overpower defenders, but get the ball on the block instead and work with his back to the basket, Stoudamire should be a great help to his team.
