Raymond Felton said during a recent interview that he thinks he is better than Jeremy Lin:

“I am a competitor, I am a point guard just like he is, so do I think I am better? Of course, I am going to say that,” Felton said. “I think I am better than any point guard. That's the way I am supposed to think. But at the same time it's nothing personal between me and Jeremy. But people are going to make it about that. I am fine with that.”

Felton basically thinks it's normal to think that you are the best, even though you know you aren't? Whe if they asked if he thought he was better than Deron Williams? I doubt he'd say that. It's normal to want to compete, but not to automatically think that you're better, and lie to yourself. Now, Felton may be better than Jeremy Lin,  I just didn't like his way of thinking. If you're going to say it, then say it.

I may seem a little harsh here, but I don't care of it's the lockout. If you are a professional basketball player that gets paid millions to play the game, you should never be in this kind of shape, especially as a point guard...

Raymond Felton said that all the criticisms about his shape, only made him want to have a great season next year:

“I wasn't at the weight I [would] normally be in. I am not making no excuses, it was a lockout, I understand that. I am the first one to say, I wasn't in shape,” Felton said. .. . “I am hearing from everybody, he wasn't in shape last year. I played in the league seven years, about to be eight, came in out of shape one year and that's all everybody wants to talk about. They don't talk about what you did good. They talk about when you do something bad. I look forward to this year and shutting up everybody's mouth.”

That's the way to think. From the looks of things, Felton will be the Knicks' starting point guard next season. Should be interesting.

As a lifelong (and struggling) Knick fan, I respect his confidence. Your criticisms are a little harsh & he gave Lin about as much respect as he deserves. Lin had a great 6-7 weeks for the Knicks. He was fantastic. But I saw Chalmers absolutely dominate him in the regular season meeting. He was scared to bring the ball up. He turns the ball over way to much! And have you seen Felton recently? He was in Vegas and he looks in terrific shape now! I wish Lin all the best. I agree he should have taken all the money he can get. But he said he was 85% healthy for Heat series. What did he do? Sat his rear down! We don't need that on our team.

It wasn't even Lin's choice to play during the Heat series. It was up to the coaching staff if he was allowed to play or not. During the heat series he said he wanted to play and his knee was well enough to play after game 2 of the series
