Rajon Rondo To Replace Joe Johnson in All-Star Game

Published on February 22nd, 2012

Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo was named to replace Atalanta Hawks guard Joe Johnson who according to team doctors has a sore knee . Tendonitis is the most common knee ache with basketball players, I feel his pain.

The irony about Rondo getting picked to replace Johnson is that he is actually suspended two games this week for throwing the ball at the referee (video) during the Celtics' game against the Timberwolves. I guess the All-Star Game doesn't count as one then does it? Suspensions are only for season games I see.

I felt Rondo was the biggest snub in the East anyhow, his injury that kept him off the court for nearly five weeks was the only reason he was not picked in the first place.
