Phil Jackson denied being interested in the Knicks' coaching job, and called them a "clumsy" team that needs a lot of work, in an interview with HBO's "Real Sports":
“I wasn’t going to take the job, that’s for sure,” Jackson said.
“There’s just too much work that has to be done with that team. It’s a little bit of a clumsy team.”
Can't really be mad at "The Zen Master" for saying that. After all, he did coach some of the better teams the NBA has seen, with arguably 3 of the best top 10 best players of all time in Jordan, Shaq and Kobe. The Knicks are a team with no real identity. Melo was the guy at one point, then Jeremy Lin, then Melo again. New York was sort of a mess this season, and JR Smith's style of play didn't necessarily help their look.
