LeBron James reportedly said that he would need his superstar teammate Dwyane Wade to step up in the finals, according to the New York Times:

Wade has talked about deferring more to James this season. But tonight James wouldn’t mind a Wade throwback. "Absolutely, I tell him a lot,’’ James said. “Sometimes I go to him and tell him I need one of those games from him. I need one of those performances from him because he still has it. He knows he still has it too. But every player needs a little kick every now and then, no matter how time-tested they are. He needs to be DWade and not worry about deferring as much.’’

I completely agree with LeBron. It is time for Wade to give it all, and go for it. No one cares if he fails, we just want to see him aggressive, and look like he really wants this title. The Thunder have Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, and James Harden. Three very young talented players that all have that dog in them. Even Kobe recently said that he viewed Durant as a 6-11 version of himself, and said of Westbrook that he reminded him of a smaller Kobe , earlier this season.

I think that if Wade steps up, these finals could be decided in 7 games. I won't let him off the hook. He is a great player, and I want to see him perform.

It is about time. Wade hasn't played well all playoffs. However, don't let Skip Bayless see this. I can hear him now. "Even Prince James knows he needs the true leader Wade aka Batman".
