ESPN revealed its top 5 of the NBA draft's number 1 picks since 1985. I like it. If I had to put it in order, considering each player's career, Shaq would be 1st, Tim Duncan 2nd, LeBron James 3rd, Allen Iverson 4th, and Patrick Ewing 5th.

Duncan and Shaq both have 4 rings, so either one could be picked as the top player.

Then I would put LeBron before Iverson, because he has three MPV's, 3 NBA finals, 1 ring and one finals MVP. Iverson "only" has one MVP, went to the finals once and lost.

Patrick Ewing was a great player, but never got a ring, although he made a trip to the finals against the Rockets in the early 90's, and lost against the Spurs in the late 90's. His statistics were the least impressive out of the 5 players, that's why I have him last on my top 5 list.

When it's all said and done, LeBron will likely be the best out of the bunch.
