Charles Barkley said in a recent interview with ESPN's "The Waddle & Silvy Show" that Clyde Drexler was always jealous of Michael Jordan, even on the Dream Team:

“I think Clyde has always been jealous of Michael, to be honest with you,” Barkley said on “The Waddle & Silvy Show” on ESPN 1000. “I think he’s always wanted to be compared to Michael. Hey, we all want to be compared to Michael, but we’re not.

I'm not shocked about the statements at all. After all, Drexler was only a lesser version of Michael Jordan. He could shoot, drive, jump, defend, pass, but could not do a thing better than Jordan. I was disgusted by Drexler with his attitude towards Magic, revealed in Jack McCollum's book, and in which he said that everyone pitied Magic because he had HIV. That was such a low blow, and probably also a lie:

I like Clyde Drexler, but Jack McCallum is a great guy, and I don’t think he would misinterpret anything,” he said. “I saw some of the statements. I thought they were not very cool at all. I don’t think Jack’s going to make up … first of all, he doesn’t have to make up anything. … If I had to believe somebody, I would probably believe Jack McCallum.”
