Broncos To Offer Peyton Manning 5-year $90 Million Deal

The Denver Broncos reportedly offered Peyton Manning a 5-year $90 million deal...

The Denver Broncos reportedly offered Peyton Manning a 5-year $90 million deal according to the denverpost:

"A third NFL source indicated that all involved teams are comfortable working off Manning's previous contract with the Indianapolis Colts, which was five years for $90 million, or an average of $18 million per year. Additionally, Manning was to receive $61.8 million through the first two years of his contract with the Colts."

If these speculations are accurate, this contract would have Peyton Manning play until he is 40 years old and still pay him top-tier money ($18/year). The Broncos were scheduled to watch Manning workout today but for them to offer Manning such a lucrative deal, they must have felt pretty confident about him regardless.

I keep thinking about Tim Tebow and how quickly he was out of the picture. The NFL is a businees and Tebow did take Kyle Orton's starting job and forced him to leave Denver, now he may soon get the taste of that felling.
