Milwaukee Bucks point guard Brandon Jennings says he wants to sign an extension with the team before the season starts:

Brandon Jennings rookie deal is almost up, the Bucks can either come to extension terms with him or give him a qualifying offer and let the market determine his worth (then they can match if they want).

Jennings told the Journal Sentinel he would love to get an extension done before the season starts and stay with the Bucks.“It would be something I’d love to get done with and over with so I don’t have to worry about it,” Jennings said of the contract extension. “But the main thing is just to come into training camp a better player, a better leader … just lead the team to the playoffs.”

Of course Jennings wants to be set with a long term deal, but things aren't really going the way he expected. Jennings thought he would be chased by big market teams during the offseason, but there wasn't a team that wanted him bad enough to make the effort to have him. Now, the Bucks sort of have the upper hand on the negociations, and if Jennings ends up leaving, he will likely go to a lesser team. His best boption is to show the frnachise how bad he wants to stay, and lead them to success.
